If you had a car that wasn't worth the metal that it was made of........ What would you do? Well we decided to see what it would take to break it. This 3.1L V6 Chev Lumina took one hell of a beating and kept on ticking.

  • did they just rebuild a car to destroy it

  • @420leadville719 Of course not. We built a car to destroy it.

  • Next time you decide to destroy a more than decent piece of machinery, do us all a favor and drive it and yourself off the best cliff you can find so you cant reproduce, pissant ass-hole.

  • @micah1133

Your wish is my command. Are there any more dictates you have for me?

  • I've got a 92 3.1L Lumina at 130k miles, it's had a few problems and some work done, new exhaust, new brake line, nothing seriously major, but sometimes the engine runs screwy and the transmission has problems in 50-60 mph range at times, hasn't done it lately though, but I'd say I've had it to about 120 mph before (spedomoter stops at 85 but the car sure as hell doesn't) but can anyone give me an estimate how many miles they think I can expect out of it?

  • Wow.... that was a rather large amount of superfluous information. I have no idea how many miles you can expect out of your Lumina but if you treat it like we treated ours... about 50 miles.

  • People who take care of their Lumina's commonly reach 200,000 miles or more. In fact, they've been known to reach 300,000 to 400,000 miles on the original engine and transmission. Thing is, although the engine itself is long-lasting and durable, the car itself is rather cheap.

  • How about you do us all a favor and run over Micah instead? He sounds like a jerk who doesn't know how to mind his own business.

BTW, Project Lumina was an inspiration to us all. Thank you so much for pushing the envelope.

  • FUCK WMG!!!

  • @8888Jmaster my 1992 lumina euro with the 3.1 has 346,621 miles on it, i had to replace the water pump serpitine belt and basic service and i beat the hell out of it everyday since 1995 and shes still goin strong

  • lool you think a 3.1l v6 is rubbish! a rubbish car for me is a 1l renault
