I'm the same way as well. I payed 30 something for the Shadowrun Snes cart, probably could've gotten it for free with an emulator, but I insist on playing the cartridge that I payed for, else there's no point in owning it.

@zzzTwilightzzz Yeah I broke myself of selling games to Gamestop a while ago. Got tired of being ripped off, them buying games for 1-3 dollars and crap... then they sell em for 10. Ridiculous. Also I got tired of how they don't give a crap about condition. Many times I've gone in there to get a specific game that I just had to have and they give me like the crappiest copy of it in the world. Scratched disk, no booklet, broken ass case. They used to be a good company... but these days...

@Sajun88 Man this brings back memories, especially when you mentioned Angel and Devil, I had forgotten about them. Honestly I've forgotten who I played in this game back in the day, think it might've been King.

The thing to hate is when people buys games, then just sells them to gamestop 2 days later for 15$

@videogametech1 I feel like Tekken 1 broke good ground with introducing a new fighter out there and it was great but it wasn't until Tekken 2 when Tekken really got it's true feel which it seems they stuck with since. Tekken 3 enhanced the combos even more but the core gameplay I feel came from Tekken 2. So many memories with the arcade version i had dude it ain't even funny.
Fantastic game, and video! And yeah I love collecting video games in general, but it is great to be able to play the majority of the games in your collection, and I don't much like owning one that I'm not going to play unless I'm going for completion. Also have a hard time keeping games sealed. =)
On another note, I've got a ps1 game that I've had for about maybe 12 years, and played it all the way through probably 100 times. It's got a bazillion scratches on it yet it still plays perfectly!

@Sajun88 I feel ya, i do not collect games i don't plan on playing. I only buy great titles that i know i will play. I have always been a gamer first, collector second.

I find it funny, because the moment you said you were going to whoop everybody's ass in the game, paul came down and started whipping yours.
Your right lee, games are meant to be played and not to just sit on the shelf. One realization I'm coming to especially with my disc based games is for the sheer fact that when I complete them they are going to have some scratches on them. That is just the nature of the best but I would feel better knowing my games played regardless if there is a scratch.

@TheCompletionist Hey if overtime it gets scratched then that's fine, the game was meant to be played, you are right derrick. Its fun to collect these but these games just gotta be played, it's their purpose, the collecting is just the cataloging of knowing what i have in my collection of all my favorite memorable games.
