This is a better explanation on what to do after your old hard drive is copied into your new internal hard drive.

I'm using a Dell inspiron 1501 laptop, the way I am doing it will work for most laptop computers.

Need help? Comment or message me!

Thanks!

  • Acronis will make a new partition on new HDD, which has only one partition, my old hard drive has two partitions, if I clone the old HDD to new HDD will create two partitions on my new HDD??Please respon me THX

  • It will copy EXACTLY everything you have on your old hard drive. This includes the partitions.

  • Why the enclosure!!!?

  • @Zorthaify I explained it in the previous video. You asked the same question.

  • does anyone know if this will clone each partition

  • @Riversphoenix Yeah it will

  • I appreciate your very helpful videos, man. Thank you.

  • @Stuna2150 When I made this video I didn't feel like editing, I just wanted to get it up and done already. A few months later i started editing some videos. I apologize dearly if this boring video offends you in anyway, it was just carelessness. With 4 years of professional video editing classes my viewers should expect better of me.

  • i need windows...

  • LOL When you said that about that very useful carrying case, Only thing I can say is OH WONDERFUL let me go run out right now and buy it for the sexy carrying case ....On a more serious note Acronis is what I use all the time to clone my drives and get rid of viruses and just to clean out old garbage and hopefully hide things from Government spies ( that's a joke all you Government pricks )

  • yeah, gotta do this as soon as my new HD comes, my current wont last another 2 restarts, thanks for the detailed video,

  • Opps

  • Nice Bass in the background

  • Good video thanks

  • What if I want to copy my files to an external hard drive and keep them in the external? instead of putting the hard drive in the laptop or pc, thanks.

  • For those of you who are wondering why the hell you need the external hard drive enclosure, it's because he's using a laptop. For all you desktop users, I did this exactly without the enclosure. All I had to do was hook up my new SATA drive using another SATA cable. It's the same principal.
