Finally figured out how to view the BBC iPlayer form outside of the UK without using a proxy. This proof of concept uses GreaseMonkey to replace the "Sorry not viewable from outside of the UK" with the actual video. It was pretty simple to figure out.

  • This is all just BS: The title of the video says "no browser proxy" ... but in the instructions you use the 'FoxyProxy' Firefox extension - to set a browser proxy for the BBC site. Just because you're not using the normal proxy setting method in Firefox doesn't mean it doesn't need a proxy.
