The i-Fly VAMP ™ is set to take the notion of a flying RC Ornithopter to a whole new level. Packing state-of the-art technology, this toy provides an unparalleled level of control and stability within an in-doors as well as out.

An "Ornithopter" differs from all man-made flying devices in that it flaps its wings to propel itself through the air. This is a form of flight that most resembles the natural abilities of birds. The i-Fly VAMP ™ is styled to resemble a fantasy-inspired bat. At 12" in width and 10" in length it is the world's smallest radio-controlled ornithopter in the form of a bat. The flapping wings mimic the behavior of a bird or an insect, giving the eerie illusion that the toy is alive when it is in flight. In addition, the ability to control the i-Fly VAMP ™ through the use of a digital proportional radio controller gives the illusion that the VAMP flies along an intelligent path. The glowing eyes of the i-Fly VAMP ™ add to its mystique as a supernatural nocturnal creature.

The i-Fly VAMP ™ has a built in lithium polymer battery which is charged by mounting it on the integrated charger/ controller. With 20 -- 30 minutes of charging, flights of 10+ minutes can be attained. Once in the air, the i-Fly VAMP ™ has a natural forward motion. It is very easy to control the flight by the movement of two sticks on the controller. The left stick allows for digital proportional speed control and the right stick allows for the control of the direction. Due to this ubiquitous control method, it is very common for users to pick up and fly the i-Fly VAMP ™ with little or no learning curve allowing for instant gratification.

  • i bought one when they first came out and its still flying. iv replaced the battery and the motor but it still flys.

  • huh ? I played with 3 different ones.. it DOES NOT takes off from the ground or your hand. and you can't play with in in a house you need a big space. it is a great awesome brilliant toy but don't be fooled.

  • every video i have seen with the vamp in it you have the same comment

  • watch my videos of the micro flyers too

is the f-18 iron man and razor r/c plane

fly just even better than this one and more fun

  • i hav the dragonfly and the bat. my uncle has the bat but it has grooves in it's wings so it can fly in circles. i make rescue missions with them. and btw ppl, i'm 15

  • These can fly so much better when you remove the plastic fin on the tail. Use lighter gas and peel off carefully. They will turn better, climb better and it will eliminate the annoying up and down bobbing you see in this video. We got ours up to 100' easily ( in about 15 sec)

It should be the only mod necessary. You WILL need to trim for either left or right turn balance aftervward. Just use the little mylex sticker they came with and follw the instruction sheet.

  • Oh, and it doesnt lift off the ground. I gotta hold it then throw it.

  • lol! I got one of these yesterday, and my friend was flying it. So the Vamp swooped down and attacked my friend, but he ducked 9we're getting good at that lol) and then the Vamp came at him AGAIN and hit him. It was funny. Also today, I let it glide for a while, and then it turned in mid-glide and attacked me. I think this is a predatory creature in the RC world

  • Hello boys,

    I sell the Vamp to € 50.

The vamp is in perfect condition, I 've only used 2 times.

For those interested to contact me in private.

  • My wife gave me one of these for Christmas. I was skeptical, but it has turned out to be a lot of fun. You do need a larger area to fly it, but it can turn in fairly small circles. Overall, controll is excellent and it's quite tough. It's been a lot of fun.

    Cheers!
