There's good and bad in this ending, I'd rather combine parts of this with the original. For example. This explains how they were able to clone GR13. Gregor's men were on site and able to extract tissue and DNA samples, this in turn feeds into UN:Regen. Then lets say Luke doesn't die and lives on with Veronica, If Regeneration didn't reject The Return as an official sequel then that would allow Luke and Veronica to conceive Hillary and then all three sequels could be tied together.
