Where to buy:
http://thenanodots.com/
these are the best quality magnet spheres on the market

This one is fairly complicated, but I think I explain it pretty well in the vid. Any questions LEAVE A COMMENT I'LL ANSWER THEM!!

The pattern of layers is:
2x7, 2x8, 3x7, 4x6, 5x5, 6x4, 7x3, 8x2, 7x2
All but the first and last add up to 10. This can be done with any size all the way down to one with sides of length 4 (this one has 10). The pattern there would be 2x2, 2x3, 2x3, 2x2, and then add the corners.

Fun fact! This is the most compact form the balls can take (they cannot be any closer together than they are in this shape.

Balls Used: Each layer is a square, biggest is 10, so:
1^2 = 1
2^2 = 4
3^2 = 9
4^2 = 16
5^2 = 25
6^2 = 26
7^2 = 49
8^2 = 64
9^2 = 81
10^2 = 100
1 + 4 + 9 + 16 + 25 + 36 + 49 + 64 + 81 + 100 + 81 + 49 + 36 + 25 + 16 + 9 + 4 + 1 = 670
Total: 670

me personally i think i can make one with 14 on each side

  • @IEatGlu also did you know yu can make a pentagonal diamond

  • @bioroomproductions yes its called a pentagonal rotunda. I don't have a video of it up cus its kinda boring...

  • @IEatGlu can you make a hexagonal rotunda

  • @bioroomproductions i guess you could but it wouldn't really work as well as this one.
