so besides complaining about this jet why don't we just build OUR OWN canadian made jets, tanks, and navel ships? better yet, how about we remake, remastered, and up to date avro arrow? or, how about WE ARE NOT POLITIANS so if you are all pissed off...VOTE!!!!!!!!!

Those jets are designed to have first strike capability. That's great, if what you want to do is bomb a city at night. And the'll never even know what was coming. That's why the US wanted them (before they put the contracts on hold). But why would Canada want that kind of jet? What we need are DOUBLE engine jets. Because if on engine breaks down while their are surveying the arctic, then our pilots can make it back home.

And then they're just going to trash the "old" jets, even though they STILL are okay. When you're in a war, it doesn't matter WHAT you're flying, as long as it works.

The fact of the matter is it's not that we WANT new fighter jets, it's that we NEED new fighter jets. The F-18's are at the end of their lifespan, a lifespan which has been prolonged by the expertise of Canadian Forces engineers and technicians. But their time is almost up. The bottom line is that if Canada wants to have any chance of maintaining air superiority in a field of operations (Including peace keeping and conflict resolution, aka Libya) we need these jets.

Stephen Harper and Conservative party brought Canadians back to 150 billion dollar debt and who puts a lawyer Jim Flaherty in charge of Minister of Finance. We should start paying lawyers to do are yearly income taxes and finance are money, let’s see how that would work. Smart Canadians
