Brings back memories of RD`s :-) I had the RD 250 coffin tank (1977) and my mate hade the earlier shape RD 250 same shape as yours (1975). God we had a blast in the 12 months we owned them. Got chased by the coppers (on their bikes) and they only caught me up when I stopped to turn right at the lights (was totally oblivious to them being after me) maybe I couldn`t see them in my smoke haze :-) Remember they were a pig from cold though. Nice bike...keep it going.

I love those bikes and the lurid purple colour scheme. I've got a basket case 74 RD200 that will one day be rebuilt - needs lots of parts though, like engine sidecovers and seat.....

That same front brake was used on the YDS7. That's why it works so well on the smaller machine.

yep, these are a good fun bike to have if you're just starting out. I learnt on a similar one (RD200B), have now got one as per the vid, a CS5-e.

Brought back a lot of good memories. That induction noise is so distinctive ! These had the awesome twin leading shoe front brake that was so superior to the disc of the later RD200 models.

Ah that takes me back, but how come no electric start (mine didn't work from cold either).
