@PRR5406 Whoa whoa whoa, "sicken society"? Exactly how has drugs like marijuana, ecstasy, LSD and DMT "sickened" our society?
-
Humans have been doing drugs long before your childhood, or anyone elses. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it wasn't there... The romans were ALL about poppies.

Ha, I just watched this on the Jack Benny Program. I always laugh hard while watching Jack Benny but this is one of the funniest episodes ever.

@jojo2664488 Idiots, all of you. You have no sense of time or history. When this clip was first aired, there was no wide-spread drug culture. This was long before the Beatles hit the scene, before Hippies, etc. Dick Smothers did not get into the drug scene, although Tommy did. After 1967, Marijuana was a prominent fixture in the writers office at CBS. You talk like you know, yet I doubt you were even alive when they were popular, and certainly not in the folk era. Now, shut up.

@PRR5406 Ha ha. They were considered very progressive and they introduced us to George Carlin.

Funny I would love to find the old albums.

@PRR5406 ROFLMAO do you know ANYTHING about the Smothers Brothers? They got kicked off network TV for being too progressive and liberal. Which should make them eligible for a Nobel Prize, imo...

Exactly. You know who was sitting in John & Yoko's room during their bed-in in Montreal? Yeah. Tommy Smothers. He was hangin with the cool kids. Not the innocent naive ones.

This was when we were naive and innocent, and the drug culture had yet to sicken society. Humor was funny, life was good.
Simpson, eh?
