@dustyminpin wasnt that the same one where the driver slowed down to 70 and he wanted to open the door and step out because the spd difference made him feel like he was going only 5mph lol. top gear i believe.

@c2m50n It is the 6.0. It's a 2006. Only 2004's came with the 5.7.

Nice video..i have a 06 gto w/auto trans to just wondered what she would do for top speed..my SHO did 180 on a dyno till the tire blew up like a bomb lol the guy on the dyno about shit him self and ran away! I for got i put my stock tires back on ..but i had a crowd of friends pushing for me to get on the dyno to beat 155mph.i learned a lesson that day ..z rated .

@whodoneit1224 Lol, I bet that was scary! Top speed on a dyno isn't the same as on the street though. Pushing through the wind at that speed is like trying to run through a swimming pool of waste deep water. A good example is the Bugatti Veyron. I watched a special saying it only needed 300 HP to hit 150, but due to wind drag, it needed another 800 HP just to go an additional 100 mph to reach its top speed of 255. The wind's a bitch. Be safe man!

@MrBadfish2 Thanks man. Been wanting to do another run up to the governed 163 with my new motor. See how much quicker it gets there compared to the this video. Check back on here from time to time. I got a nice new phone that takes 720p video. Just a matter of the right weather, the right night, with no cars on the bayway.
