Wow. that is strange. I'm about to buy my new home theater set.

Receiver: either Harman Kardon AVR 1600 or AVR 254.

Floorstanding: Klipsch RF-52.

Center: Klipsch Rc-52.

Rear Surround: Klipsch RB-51.

Subwoofer: Velodyne VRP1000.

Any suggestion?

The choices you are about to make are great. But if you have the extra budget go for the Harman Kardon 354. It will give you more power to rock those RF-52.RC-52 and your RB 51. I am not sure about the Velodyne VRP 1000, havent check out the reviews yet. Good luck

Johneycg: If you are using the AVR-254 ,I suggest on using the RF-35, I've been using them for awhile and I dont find any issues on their performance.

@Johneycg want a better subwoofer ? well i got an idea for you subsonic do great subwoofers. we are about to get our second subsonic subwoofer because welling doesnt do as deep as this. here is a link. wait just type in google subsonic subwoofers

@Johneycg Get Denon Receiver, much better then Kardon..I had kardon sold it and bought denon AVR-1910 big difference..

rf-35s are better

In my opinion the rf-35s are an all around better quality speaker then the newer rf-82. Lesser quality internal wiring, crossover and over emphasis on lower end are the biggest changes with the newer speakers!
