i shot these clips on a panasonic gs65 and then used after effects to apply a film-look to them. they still look a little like video i know but i don't have green for a dvx100 yet.

  • man i can never figure out depth of field when it comes to a close up of a person and the background being blurry. not sure if u have to do it with a camera or if u can do it with after effects. :(

  • well after effects would work but it would take alot of work. On a green screen i would be easier. What i did here was to use two lenses, the camera's own lense and a 2.0x telephoto lense on the front of the camera. When i zoomed in from far off, usually about 15-20 ft away, i would manually focus the camera lense. The panasonic gs-65 has a manual control for the lense and aperture, etc. It starts to work @ about 10 feet but the farther you go the more depth you can achieve. keep trying.

  • Nice nice. I'm working on getting the dvx100-b as well. Audioslave rocks too. Thanks for the upload

  • if you google dvx100b you can find some for like $899 and up. pretty good considering that they go for a lot more elsewhere. thank for the comment btw. the guy below, teenytinyjesus, and i are always talking about making some kind of a movie but we naver have had the means. the gs65 is suprising, considering its 60i and not progressive at all.

  • you can do both. Its dependent on which camera you have.

  • all about cinematography and what kind of camera you have. If you have a prosumer camera (Hvx200, Dvx100) you'll figure out DOF pretty quickly.

  • gotta love the audioslave music

  • Nah I've done waaay too much research to stick my neck out far enough to "get one" for 899. Like photoUSA and most others will sell the cheap version as a case only LOL or japanese refurbished half-broken
