This is a Breyer movie about an Irish Thoroughbred who captured the hearts of not one, but two countries only to have a grim fate. So basically, Shadburry is a underdog who is the great-grandson of Man O' War

PLEASE, DO NOT BE OFFENDED BY THE WHOLE PART WHERE RAYLA (RAGS TO RICHES) SAYS THAT AMERICA SEEMS TO HAVE BETTER HORSES THAN IRELAND. IT'S JUST MY OPPINION AND NOT A FACT. Yes, racehorses must have their blood tested before all races to see if they are sound, and some will not let vets do this....just like Kudo (Shadburry's sire).
