Hey, i have a quick question. when apple replaced the Glossy mac to a high Res. Anti Glare, did you pay fee for the upgrade, or did they just give it to you? if they gave it to you, what did you ask them in order to get it for free, and if you paid a fee, how much was it? Please let me know. my brothers glossy 15" Macbook Pro is causing problems and he wants to replace it for an anti-glare.

@thatsnazzyappleguy well i had more issues with mine and through a one time exception they said they will replace my computer. and yes it costed me to upgrade to a anti glare..chances are apple will want to fix ur computer first

I have the same mac, 8 Ram, 128 SSD, 2.3Ghz,

My question is, do you have any problems with the backlight leak? When you turn on the black colour picture on the screen, is the colour equal?

@antonspopovs after the 6 months of owning this, i never noticed any issues with the back light. if ur looking at it from an angle then thats normal for any screen but straight on it should.

if you think somethings really wrong get it checked at the apple store. be better if i could see myself to help you more lol

@footballstar0214 this is the anti glare screen, it has a alunimum bezel instead of a glass black border.

I'm probably going to purchase a new MBP with the matte screen. I do video work, and while I'm sorta waiting for the next refresh, i'm afraid apple will take away a lot of professional options (like matte screen, physical hard drive, etc) in favor of making it more like the MacBook Air.

I think i'm gonna go ahead and purchase this, and if Apple surprises me with a new MacBook Pro design that isn't crap, then I can sell it and my old one to make up the difference.

@footballstar0214 you can actually choose weather you want a classic black-boarderd display or a anti-glare cool grey-borderd display when you order your macbook pro. And as he said, this is the anti-glare display.
