@UnlimitedLinux You can use a resin coated copper wire.
You also need a battery, paperclips and a magnet.

It's coated magnet wire, not magnetic wire.

what kind of wire did you use to make the loop a magnetic wire? can you use a copper wire??????

You have to use special coated magnet wire. The coating is an insulator. When you make the loop, you scrape parts of it off to serve as a built-in commutator.

how do you make those little coils? Is it all one piece of copper wire from one side over to the other?

You can find instructions on making the coil by searching the Internet for "beakman motor".
