Yeah, there are several contributing factors to an open bite reoccurring. I know for me, my orthodontist recommended I begin seeing a speech therapist because people with an open-bite talk entirely different than those without one. And if an open bit is closed, but speech patterns stay the same, the open-bite will reoccur. In addition to correcting this, I'm also having surgery to correctly align my teeth after the braces do their job. If the open-bite still comes back, I give up

Ah the dreaded openbite same problem as u ! Had braces, teeth are straight but the open bite came back it sucks having a bad bite!
