Kieren Perkins 400m Freestyle World Record at the 1994 World LC Championships. His record of 3:43.80 is a superb time even by 2008 standards, and wasn't beaten until Ian Thorpe came along almost 5 years later. To do 3:43.80 in briefs is surely one of the greatest swims of all time.
@lexsoft yeah but he is a different kind of swimmer
his main propulsive tool are his arms while the guys you mentioned use their legs more
but in my opinion this is the 3rd fastest swimmer in the 400 free after thorpe and hackett

this guy was the first great australian on long distance ... i remember that period !!

@adisturbedswimmer95 I think more SPL (stroke per length) or frequency used to get same distance shows an inefficient swim. Compare with Ian Thorpe, Grant Hackett, Klete Keller, Ossama Mellouli who perform efficient swims with less SPL.

will be very interesting to see what biedermann does without a suit.

A suit guy? Wait until next year... Beirdmann will still be a beast.

awesome swim. This guy's amazing. Just look at that frequency. This guy is ten times better than biedermann
