Tigrai students and Oromo students clash at AAU

A serious clash broke out at Addis Ababa University, sources said. A source who was at AAU when the clashes broke out and who did not want to be named sent to us the following reports.

I dont know if there was a curse or a promise between AAU and April. I saw a huge bloodshed in the main campus. Be sides there were many windows and cars broken by the stones thrown from the students. This has also gone down two kilos to reach the Science Faculty. Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) was also in high tension last night that now the Federal police crew are inside and around the compound. The president of the University has called the university community for a meeting to start in less than quarter of an hour. The tension has been since last Saturday where a friend of this reporter called the reporter in the middle of the night to inform him about the mob students started.

The reason then was that a student has been killed and many others have been injured by identified bodies that got into the university at night. The government media however aired yesterday that the clash broke out when a student accused another student for alleged theft of a mobile phone and both students gathered their allies for the clash to develop to an ethnic level conflict. Dont know yet the truth.
