  • 2 minutes... :D How do you like the sv, I have zx6r but love the whole v-twin thing, how do you tink i would find coming from the 600??

  • I think you would like it if it was a 1000 but I am not sure if I would like the sv650 as I haven't ridden that one. But the first thing you notice is the movement below you of the motor you can feel the difference as its more of a rumble than the smooth motor of a zx6r or a gsxr. I think the bike comes into its own on the long stretches at high speeds. What I love is that even in 6 gear at speed on the freeways it has good power and pulls and pulls. So far I have no complaints. :-)

  • you riding in the pool lane or something?

  • Yeah in California they let you do crazy things out here..heck just recently they almost allowed men to marry men women to marry women and even donkies to marry donkies.

  • As a result it's market value went down which is good if you want to buy but bad if you are trying to sell. You know people, they like paining less so they rather paying $6500 for a sv 650 rather $8500 for the 1000.

  • . However, it would require you to shift often up and down because the motor kicks you if you are in higher gear than you should. While in 4 inline you would have a smooth slow acceleration if you are in higher gear. As an owner of a SV 1000 I can tell you it is a great bike, very good value for every dollar you pay for it or in other words you get your money worth big time. This every magazine in the world would tell you. Sadly, they stopped making the 1000 at year 2007.

  • First you have to know that there is a difference between a V twin and 4 inline. The V twin gives you power from when you let the clutch go. While 4 inline you need to rev in order to feel something in the low rpm. When you leave the gas the v twin start to kick because of it's nature while the 4 inline is smooth. As far as acceleration goes the v twin react to the rider good in any gear
