Winnipeg Transit Flyer Industries D901A and New Flyer Industries D40 bus action

Several clips put together of Flyer and NFI high floor buses in action in downtown Winnipeg. In order, you will see 1994 NFI D40 #372, 1989 NFI D40 #803, 1986 Flyer D901A #'s 602, 626, 1994 NFI D40 #381 and the last clip shows 1986 Flyer D901A #625. These clips were all recorded in the spring of 2009 not long before the last of the Flyer D901A's were retired.

these buses are too loud, including air brake system with no muffler on the airs exhaust.they are noise pollution right on our street...

#626 was a such sweet ear candy. The ATEC on that bus made such heavenly takeoff sound effects, and the exhaust just made it ring. That's a loud lil' sucka there...

And apparently, #381 had a driver with a "iron" foot.

Same ol' 6v71Ns to V730s. They lasted from 1981 to 1996, when 1996 Gillig Phantom 35BT102s came along.

Those later years were a noise complainer's favorite due to loose exhausts....
