This is the story of how the U. N., from 1960 to 1962, waged an unprovoked war against the peaceful state of Katanga and forced it under the control of the Communist state of the Central Congo (now called Zaire). Top U.N. personnel boasted in their public speeches and memoirs of how they pretended to be preserving law and order while actually carrying out a military operation to crush the tiny nation, all in the name of peace. The great irony in this was that the free world was told and the American people firmly believed that the U.N. army had been sent to the Congo to protect it from Communism. The reason this story needs to be told after all these years is that we have not seen the last of the U.N. so-called peace-keeping forces. Unless the further development of what is called the New World Order can be stopped, we are going to see a U.N. army used more and more to bring its peculiar brand of peace to the world. The best way to envision the future is to know the past.

  • Good afternoon. Forgive me for my bad English. Use a translator.

I'm from Ukraine. Interested in the history of Africa. Material in Ukraine on these issues unfortunately very little. Be kind, if you is not difficult to send to the address mza_1844@mail.ru memories of their relatives, photosvideo of the events in Katanga, Zaire in general, Biafra, Kenya and other countries over the period 1950 - 1980.I would appreciate any information. Thank you. Take the story of its own people more accessible.

  • wow, this is very confusing. most of this is lies,

  • this journalist is unbelievably biased and i can see that they coached Tshombe in order to deliver this message. This is mind blowing, we have come a long way but sadly not much has changed... Kongo salutes you for posting

  • The CIA did kill Lumumba, i never said they did not. Mobutu was worse then Lumumba and he was tolorated for 30 years does that not say something to you? Once again i see that you did not answer me... Smith Hempstone is a liar? he was there and recorded it all. Is he lying? Did the central government of Congo not take over Katanga by force through the UN peacekeeping misssions who where not to interfere with internal conflicts? PROVE ME WRONG OR FIND A HOLE!

  • @KrazeWorld The fact of the matter is that the CIA and the belgians have admitted that they got of rid of Lumumba, you heard it from the horses' mouth. Watch the documentary the assassination of Lumumba and you will see what I am talking about. They installed a power hungry Mobutu and look at where the Congo is today? The war they are currently involved in has killed over 5 million congolese and counting.

  • @portloko LOOK UP SMITH HEMPSTONE AND CALL HIM A LIAR, IF YOU DARE.

  • @portloko Instead of saying that i am wrong and that this is a lie... prove it to me. If you cant then i hope you will realize that there is no good reason for me to blindly believe your statements. And by the way i look at facts and there are many many facts in this documentary that that cannot be argued. For instance, Lumumba seeked and recieved help from the soviets and many other communist nations. UN bombed hospitals, post offices, schools and homes and then lyed about it.

  • @KrazeWorld You obviously have no idea regarding the history and politics of the Congo. If you did, you will know that this documentary was biased and told a side of the story that is untrue.

  • I feel so so so much for this man. I have rarely heard someone express a situation like that. his examples are perfect his approach immaculate. Its so sad that theses true freedom fighters are portayed by the victors of these conflicts as being traitors when to me this is the highest form of pariotism. God Bless Tshombe... God Bless Katanga. Down with the UN.

PS a wuick tour of youtube and you will see that Lumumba is seen as being a Prophet.... Such an Orwellian world we live in...
