@denmah Im suprised that you both think a turbocharger is japanese technology. The turbocharger was invented by a swiss engineer first off, and the first production automobiles to use turbochargers were american. Dont get your info from the fast and the furious buds.The first production turbocharged automobile engines came from General Motors in 1962. At the Paris auto show in 1974, Porsche introduced the 911 Turbo – the world’s first production sports car with an exhaust turbocharger.

@darkbanore i was commenting more on how its perceived, and this is a nice medium, when you think of turbos, most people think of small cube 4-6cyl motors and turbos, making decent power, and with american cars its mostly NA or carbs or stuff like that. adding fuel injection and turbos to an old school v8 muscle car is just an awesome mix of both.
truth is most people see it as japanese cars = technology, and american cars as old school and more displacement, when you add the two, well, you see

@denmah
It doesn't matter how 'most people see it'......the facts remain unchanged. People need to get away from bias and just love fast cars, no matter who made it.
