It's important to learn how to properly pick up and hold bunnies. Rabbits generally like to be with other rabbits, as long as they're a good match for each other. Bunnies behave better if theyve been spayed or neutered, and they require regular vet checkups.

  • Hello i have a 4 year old rabbit. Currenty i have a really bad cold and was not sure if my cold could be transmitted to my little fur-ball. And info you may have would be loved by the both of us. Thanks, Kyle & sadie (<--rabbit)

  • Hi Kyle,

Im not a doctor (person or animal!) but Im pretty sure your rabbit can not catch your cold. Ive not heard of that ever happening. However, your buns fur might add to your congestion so be careful when you two are snuggling J

  • is it okay if i have one rabbit? he just got neutered today, my mom wont let him have a companion. so when i get older i might try and find one. should i get a companion the same age as he is? same breed color etc?

  • Dear RiselnGirl

Usually here we try to match up personalities...say one bunny is dominant than we try to pick a submissive one to be their friend. Opposite sexes usually work best, but sometimes same sex rabbits do just fine. Sometimes rabbits bond right away and other times it can take a while. Patience is key. And, yes, having one rabbit is ok so long as you spend lots of time with him. And make sure he gets out of his enclosure to run around to act like a bunny!
