thanks a lot for these vids. i made mine in a hurry and i just happened to have the pvc and the dowel lying around. so I am happy. took me a wee bit longer to get it to make sound, but thats probably because i was in a hurry, and the dowel was a little loose so i had to seal it off once i got it working. thanks again.

Schedule 40 PVC (in the US) can be used, but you really need a wider pipe for the cover piece.

Great work!! I've learned alot.
I have been making mine with knife only. Cutting, forming the plug and runner etc, which I'm only lucky with with maybe 1-2 for every 10 - hah hah! With your system, I think I will have more success every time! :D Thanks.
Question: I make mine so they are played horizontal and not like yours. Seems easier to play horizontal. Can you make 'em so they play horizontal too?

thank u so much for such a simple technic to make the note hole...i was watching n searching videos related to making pvc flutes but they were little complicated to get the note hole....ur technic is really impressive n video is presented so clearly....i expect some more technic to make tuning holes from you as easily u showed before....ur new fan ...kaushik...
