It would be nice if these 'monsters of jazz' weren't stuck in the 1960s. This stuff is so dry and boring I can't believe it. It is designed for performers, not for audiences. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawnnnn!

I forgot add, EVERYONE here are monster players. It seems all these other awesome musicians get forgotten for the horn player, but that's what being a rhythm player in a jazz combo is about. :P

Yep, quoting is one of the most fun parts of soloing. This is a very good recording, we are playing this tune in our combo. I am almost done transcribing it. I've even gotten some of the solo licks.
And yes, Rupert is one cool cat, and a monster player along with that.
