LHC Racer Game for college project.
The player controles an unstable particle running inside the LHC tube of CERN collider. The particle must reach the desired velocity in order to finish the game. But all colisions will result in a drop of speed, so the player must dodge the enemies.
Runs on our own 3dEngine made (called LHE - stands for large Hadron Engine) and uses a physical engine for physical simulations (NVIDIA PhysX).
If you like check the previous two videos so you can see the timeline of the project. It was done in about two month or less, with a lot of other stuff to do in between.
Audio not shown but it runs IrrKlang. It uses OpenGL and a lib called CG .
We spent so many time developing the engine that we didn't extend the game in its visual aspects (mesh loading, animations, special effects and texture mappings and so on..).
Even so it has Motion Blur :)
