  • Interesting that you completely leave out the fact that, although some left the church, NONE of the 11 witnesses ever denied having seen the plates. No one knows the reason for plural marriage except God. Emma support plural marriage and Joseph till she died.

  • David Koresh never denied his testimony either, he died for his cause. L. Ron Hubbard never denied his testimony of Scientology and Xenu either. You've been had. (Strang's witnesses also signed an affidavit regarding his book, 'The Book of the Law of the Lord', so Strang must have been a prophet too) We know the reason for plural marriage, it's called banging the women of the flock. This is boiler plate cult leader behavior, Smith was not unique at all in this, just ask Warren Jeffs.

  • P.s I never said that God does not use our mistakes for good, through history there have been many many times God used our short comings for good.

Please seek the truth, the truth will set you free!

  • @LDStothecore You actually have no idea what you are talking about, Matthew 12:31–32 in context must go back to verse 22 to understand. Basphemy of the Holy Spirit is saying that Jesus did His miracles by the power of the devil. This is unforgivable. The Pharisees, o knew that Jesus' miracles validated His words and ministry (John 11:45-48), ere attempting to discredit Jesus' Messiahship by saying that His works were by the devil and not by the Holy Spirit.

  • @Exodus314IAM I assume you didn't look up unpardonable sin in the Bible. You keep proving you don't know what you are talking about. You said nothing good ever came of polygamy, but you refuse to acknowledge that the 12 tribes is a good thing.

  • Also notice that even though Jacob went against God and took two wives God used him to create the 12 tribes. Joseph Smith had how many wives and how many children? So why did Joseph need the wives? I can tell you why but you will not like the answer and you will not listen anyway. Lust is a powerful monster that Satan uses against us!

Seek the truth please!! do not only listen to me but do your own thinking! feelings will not save you only Jesus!

  • @LDStothecore I did say he had sex with 4 different women and had 12 children but he was only married to two and the second died leaving him only his original wife! Please seek the truth seek God and stop following the false teachings of the LDS! Use your own mind and build a relationship with the only true Jesus for yourself!

Get away from the "church" and seek Jesus!

  • @Exodus314IAM Adultery is forgivable, but you need to know what you are talking about before you speak. The Bible talks about the unpardonable sin. Any sin will keep you out of heaven, but adultery is quite serious. Again, look at the Bible. Jacob had 12 sons from FOUR different women. These made up the 12 Tribes.

  • Also Bilhah and Zilpah were not his wives so why can you call this honorable? If God aproved polygamy and to marry more than one wife then Jacob went against God and did not marry Bilhah or Zilpah then right?

The truth is God never aproved polygamy we just did it like any other sin and God delt with it and used it to build on. God knows all things past, present, and future so He knew this would happen and planed it into His plan. (Psalms 147:5; 1 John 3:20; John 21:17; Isaiah 42:9)

  • @LDStothecore So you are saying that adultery or fornication is the unforgivable sin then? where did you get that from? There is no sin that is unforgivable and there is no sin worse than another. The only unforgivable thing we can do is turn away from the true Jesus or to go against the Holy Spirit that is around us always.

As for the 12 tribes if Isreal they started off with Jacob who did take a second wife Rachel wh God took from him (Genesis 35) leaving him only Leah his original wife.

  • @Exodus314IAM You don't know if God never commanded it. Not everything is written in the Bible. You should know that. All men sin, yes, but no way God approves a prophet that commits adultery or fornication. Polygamy never turned out good? How about the 12 Tribes of Israel?

  • @LDStothecore God never commanded it that is the fact! as for Prophets sinning? well they all were human and sinned, can you name one prophet that never sinned yet God still used them for His works. Abraham lied in Genesis 20 as did Jacob in Genesis 25, Lot slept with his two daughters in Genesis 19, Moses killed an Egyptian man in Exodus 2:11. I can go on and on but you get the point right? plus if you look at the history of Polygamy in the Bible it never turned out good!

    Seek the truth!
