A common concern focuses on the potential complications of silent GERD. What does the research say about the treatment of patients? David A. Johnson, MD, discusses the evidence in this video blog.
I actually have chronic throat clearing? Could silent reflux have gone on longer before any symptoms? I really worry about the esophageal cancer or if the damage can be reversed
@sistagirl488deleted I've had reflux for many years, I suffered as a baby and now have severe throat spasm, cricopharyngeal spasm, chronic throat clearing, burning in the ears, voice changes, loss of voice, choking in sleep, explosive belching, etc. It has been discoeverd that I have a very weak lower esophageal valve, but they have refused me the Nissen.
Interesting. I get absolutely no relief from my ENT symptoms using PPI, and those are the ones I find most distressing. So, we know what won't help. Any idea what will?
