  • I dont think the eastern side people of India even know of Elaichi Banana. This type of banana is found mostly in South.B'coz I am from B'lore, my hubby is Bengali. When he came to b'lore for our wedding he had no clue what are these Elaichi Bananas, nor his relatives. But I grew up eating these bananas as Kid. We also have bigger than Elaichi bananas and smaller than normal ones native to Karnataka called "Rasabale". It means Juicy bananas. We used it to make fruit salads with jaggery as prasad.

  • Glad to know that you tried out the recipe. Do let us know how the other recipes turn out.

    Happy C ooking!

  • You can substitute khoya with milk powder. You can certainly add any other flavourings as per your choice if saffron is unavailable.

    Happy Cooking!
