Default config of G25 isn't compatible with Heel Toe.
Here is my brake pedal addon to be more confortable.

  • I thought it'd be easier if the gas pedal was the same height as the brake pedal, if not more.

  • You can't reach the gas pedal if it's higher by twisting your ankle.

Take a look at a real car. You will see by yourself that the brake pedal is higher than the others.

  • @wiederhe

I guess so, But the only way you can really do heel toe is on a track or on a game. I can't seem to do it randomly driving.

  • I couldn't agree more.

The Logitech G25 wheel/ Pedal rig isn't the best tool to exercise (you can change gear without depressing the clutch; the gear stick resistance is too tiny).

The pedal rig /gearbox from Frex is more appropriate for Heel toe. I bought one and I'm waiting for the locking into position gearstick feature when the clutch isn't depressed.

I've learnt this technique with a real car (the hard way) when I was young. I wish I had a simulator at that time to practice!

  • hey how much you want to make me that piece and ship to eastern usa, might as well quote w/ screws included.

  • Hi,

I can make some pieces. Depens on how many people are interested.

  • @wonabe Awesome! I know how to rev-match while downshifting now, I'm picking up heel-toe but I'm waiting for the right corners to do so. What do you drive? I'm currently driving a Civic hatch :P

  • @knduong I do it on daily driving ^_^ I downshift pretty much every time i need to go slower and if this kind of deacceleration isnt enough i start using brakes aswell. But having the situation when i need to start braking hard first, but realising that i might need to accelerate after the braking aswell i am doing heel-toe with downshift 3>2. Apparently from that i do rev-match every gear change since i threw out my auto transmission and got manual.

  • @bloodseedrums One should NEVER go to Wal-Mart for anything.

  • @insanevids Do you ever drive a real car? You will see what he means... that being said, my super-duper brake mod consists of a piece of wood with some rubber I found on the side of the road by my work fastened in place by no less than eight heavy duty rubber bands. That being said, I think this dude has a better idea as my setup takes periodic "calibration". Nice video though. Fyi, I have read about folks stacking the black spacer from the clutch on the brake to have the same effect.

  • Extremly long explanation of a very small part!

  • ahahah omg, i use the g25 stock pedals and i do the heel toe perfectly, no mods needed my friend. Just takes practice, a good driving position and skill :)

  • @wiederhe in a real car al the pedals need to be on the same line or only the clutch can be a little bit more down

  • Oh very good one! Thanks.

  • @knduong It might be kinda hard to do in some daily cars, but you can adjsut the pedals in those too. Having a wider throttle pedal might do the trick

  • couldnt you just go to walmart and get some pedal plates for real cars
