awesome video

Had a blast in heaps last summer, bivy'd in the bottom on a sandbar that's one heck of a final rap. Great movie.

Canyoneering Heaps and using Kyuss for your soundtrack? Dude...you rule! I think you might be my soul mate in a non-gay sort of way. Is that Charly Oliver and Tom Jones? I can't make out the faces too well. Either way, we need to connect. Hit me up either here, Bogley or Meetup Canyoneering. Evergreendean. I didn't know there was anyone like me on this rock...

My husband and six of his friends started Heaps yesterday. Yesterday was also our
24th wedding anniversary. .I have to say I should not have watch your video until I heard form him. I'm hoping that will be tonight but I feel it might be some time tomorrow. I will say that he and the boys do know what they are doing. Your video is very well done, very beautiful and very scary to this wife.
Be safe.
Thanks,
Johnnie Pauline Andrews

Great job on the video, did heaps may 2009 for first time, water was flowing and it looks like it's pretty tough at low water. Thanks for the effort on the video - nice work.

Freaking...
Awesome!
Who is the soundtrack?

What do you do if it starts to rain while you´re in the canyon?

To avoid sticking your rope on the last rappel, make sure the last person down moves the pull strand out of the groove on the right next to the dihedral wall. There are some notches to the left that will hold the rope and allow your biner block to pass by without getting stuck. The groove on the right is simply too narrow for most biners to fit through.

Thanks for the tech tip... but me thinks this ain't the time or the place for that.
Cheers

Your video is great; it really capture the beauty of the canyon. I've descended Heaps three times. Each time it even more amazing. In September 2004 I did it without a wetsuit and caught a bit of hypothermia. Also, our rope got stuck on the 90M rappel so I had to use two prussik knots to shimmy back up and unstick it. It took about a half hour to get back to the top.

No westsuit? What were you thinking?
I'm sure that prussik back up the final rap was 'fun'... better you then me.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Heaps is an amazing place.
