This test went from storyboard to final render in about an hour. Instead of bluescreen, a difference matte was used. Unfortunately, the wall behind him was about the same color as his skin tone, so the key did not work so well.
I do have a greenscreen I use quite often. For really quick tests though, where the camera is sitting still, it's just easier to use the difference matte. Most of the time, it does okay. In this instance, with the wall being the same tone as his skin, it really fell apart. In my video "Animation Test", the difference matte worked very well for keying things like the car, where a HUGE greenscreen would have had to been used. I don't use difference matte on anything professional, just quick tests.

I noticed you use the difference matte quite often. This looked like you just used a mask. Why not use/make a greenscreen?
