Stop the War [ http://www.stopwar.org.uk ]officer John Rees looks at the Obama administration and asks whether his commitment to defending US global power will produce an imperial practice little different from the Bush administration . Timeline is a series of programmes on political history presented by John Rees and produced by the Islam Channel [ http://www.islamchannel.tv ].
although a well put together video, it does only hit on a few key points, it doesn't show the the driving force behind the wars, in reality it would be nice on day if someone would make a show that addressed the issue of why wars are fought around the world, like control of resources, profit, power and control, reigime changes, forced democracy, whatever the reasons may be. i find that lately there are usually some falsehoods for war that are easily seen through.

There's little references in this video as to why the US invaded Afghanistan. Clearly biased.

This is such bullshit. The worst possible assumptions are treated as fact, simply because they fit into this man's marxist narrative.

Very good.
But I have three small criticisms:
Little reference to the key role of the IMF and World Bank in maintaining US dominance (I'm thinking especially of the impact of SAPs and multinationals).
No mention of OPEC, and the impact of the Yom Kippur War?
Once the timeline moves into the contemporary era, the 'Islam Channel' bias comes into view.
But I am nitpicking. Thanks for posting.
