http://www.sixpackfactory.com : The dumbbell bench press works the whole chest area.

The specific muscles that are being targeted are the pectoralis major and pectoralis minor.

To perform the DB Bench Press you must lie on your back on a flat bench, holding a pair of dumbbells over your chest, with your arms straight up and your hands facing forward. Bend your elbows and lower the dumbbells down to finish level with your chest. Contract your chest muscles and press the dumbbells back up to the start position in an arc.

Breathe out as you press and breathe in as you return to the start position.

    yo man, sit ups wont work, try doing exercises that work various muscle groups

    you cant target just one area for fat loss some exercises are squating, deadlifts and the benchpress as those all use quite a few muscles. base your program around that and than some cardio and you should be set

    also check out peters fat burning work outs those are SICK if you have the equipment

  • i prefer dumbells when i do an chest exercise. the barbell puts way too much strain on your shoulders
