We use this as a training exersise for our Extrication Personnel. It utilizes the equipment that we do not often use but can be extremely valuable in many situations.
i work on cranes and a ff/medic for 12 years and make chain slings and wire rope slings, service hoist and pullers, the chains are fine not under a big load. u don't like the puller rope rubbing over the cribbing. like to see struts pushing up the rear end or even a winch and a long 2x4.... ( and i have worked on a tow truck off and on for years)
althought this would work in a situation when you dont have the equipment to work with. Wheres the CRIBBING?? there is alot of movement with the roof and hood that isnt safe. i understand its training but "we train like we work, work like we train".
