Release of the Hartebeest

While on Safari on the edge of the Welgevonden Game Reserve in South Africa, came across a Haartebeest trapped on an electric fence pumping out 8000 volts. The animal was clearly in dstress and it seemed that it wouldn't make it. This film was taken over a period of 20-25 minutes during which help was sought and found.

Am I to understand that there is some sort of paddock with man made implements designed to lure these beautiful creatures to a central location where they can be effortlessly shot for sport? Some sport.... I thought we were backwards in Texas.... Thanks for this vid though! Brilliant!

What a contrast to the red hartebeest clip which is given pre-eminence .WE helped save an animal and some jerk who gets off ,by killing an animal from a few feet is somehow given a top spot by You Tube!!May the Hartebeest,maybe it was the same one we helped save find sanctuary in heaven and may you who killed it, rot in hell.
