@felixdevilliers1 - quote: "My frst reactio to ... Kreislariana in its content." - That's BS and you know it. No offense intended.

@napper6162 My frst reactio to your comment was to cancel it.because of f its duagusting rudeness , But I gave a lot to thank you for becaus I listened to the concerto again What a wonderful work it is , so rich in musical iamges and melodies I have also bullshitters lkike you to thank for the fact that such n muaic was drivwen into exileAs a poetess of that period said, 'I am a tatto that nothing can erase.' Richer even the Kreislariana in its content.

@Changles - given Hilary Hahn's good looks and talents, most dresses would look nice on her.

@Felix211140 - quote: "Substantial music at last which is really saying something..." - That's BS and you know it.

@MaestroTJS - I certainly won't dismiss everything that comes out of Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and Princeton etc but it's worth noting that the magnitude of damage to the US by "graduates" of those institutions dwarfs the contribution of genuine scholars. It's also worth noting that presence of impostors and fraudsters is not restricted to Harvard Law, MBA, Govt & Economics programs (& their counterparts at Yale, Columbia, Princeton, U of Chicago etc).
-
@napper6162 I think you're focusing too much on the economics and law departments, maybe even other ones. But I don't think it's fair to dismiss everything that comes out of those institutions.
I agree that composers should be allowed to do whatever they want. Maybe that's more and more the case now, but throughout an enormous part of the 20th century, Schoenberg's disciples taught that their way was the only real way and helped ruin the reputations of anyone not writing in that style.

@OnlyTheBestDnB - BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Sorry, that's not thinking. Suppose composer Lunatica Tyrannia espouses the musical philosophy that any random combination of notes would become good music if the listener is exposed to it 100 times a day for 20 years. Do you think your understanding of the philosophy will help you appreciate the "genius" of the "music"????
-
@zenhighwayman - Typical pretentious nonsense from pseudo "music experts". Music is for the enjoyment of the listener. The moment you mention "understand", you give yourself away as an impostor trying to impress others with delusional BS. There is good classical music; there is bad classical music. Similarly, there is good jazz, and there is bad jazz. The ultimate criteria is whether the listener enjoys the music. I dare you to explain in detail your so-called "understanding"
-
@ShoyuTao - utter nonsense and fake pretentious "insight". You are free to like, smell or even eat trash. Just don't drag others with you and claim the trash to be the new seafood of the 21st century.
-
@MaestroTJS - cont'd - with regard to discordant intervals, I have a totally different philosophy - let the composers do whatever they want and let the audience decide whether the work is a success or failure.
Wow, this is really beautiful...

I actually quite like this, considering it's Schoenberg
