dude, I cant explain it as well as he does, but check out exgileadmissionary video on apostates. Apostates is just a term JW's adopted and is not applicable to you. By using this you are accepting their labeling of you. Im not criticizing you, I enjoyed your video, and Im in the same boat as you with my mom. Just know you are not alone and things can always change.

@punchy001 LMAO! I was hanging out with exgilead and some other former JW's last weekend. We all jokingly call each other "apostates". Trust me we all know that the word has no meaning, it is just something we use for fun and to mock the derogatory label they place upon us.

Thanks for the book recommendation mate, my girlfriend is currently wrapped up in JW. Although shes on the verge of breaking free from most of the mindsets.

She said Beth serin is also a lie and no house was ever made for Jacob and them in San Diego and it is apostate literature ..I pretty much ended the conversation cause of the pain in her voice was hurting me...I had way more questions for her but decided I'll direct them to a jw that knocks on my door and hear there defence

I feel ya man Ive just expressed a few concerns I have with jw's to my mom and she got real defensive shooting down my every word telling me apostate are liars silent lambs people are liars she does not believe Charles taze tombstone is a pyrimid and that's also a lie hearing the pain in her voice telling me I'm not listening and telling me to calm down even though I was calm spoke volumes

Some people stop believing in a Creator because a religion has deceived us, which we where warn in the Bible of such things. Honestly you should be thankful to him that you are out of this false religion.... Give Him a chance....

I suggest you do research on Jehovah's Witnesses before you go speaking things that are untrue. We all have different identities. Jehovah's Witnesses are about being there for your brothers & sisters & worshipping Jehovah-- We are not a cult we are not brainwashed we do this out of love. What kind of cult helps out in places where natural disasters have hit. Our organization is so far from cult rituals it's ridiculous. This is the message that we are trying to get people away from.

Just finished watching your video. I can totally relate. It's been almost 2 years since my exodus. Your point is well taken about understanding your mom's behavior, however, it doesn't make it hurt any less, at least for me and my experience. I'm still very angry so I was wondering if you've ever written to your mom since you've been out? I was thinking about doing that, if nothing more than as a type of therapy for myself. Thanks

CS, your story is sad yet inspiring. You swam when the loss of parents turned the ground to ocean, and successfully avoided clinging to the religious lifepreserver that most would reach for in such a time. I am wondering if you are saying your Mom's endurance in the WT is part of the sinking ship phenomenon- that you hold to something because you've come so far, instead of cutting losses and moving on. You've done your homework; is there anything else you still want to try to do to reach Mom?
