Social Soundmachine - How it works

Social Soundmachine is an interactive tabletop, on which people can create electronic music together.
It has a multitouch surface with different game pieces, that each have unique sounds or effects. Like beatboxes, strings, filters, melodies and even your own voice!

This demonstration video was made for the Dutch Design Awards finals 2009 to give an overview of the possibilities. It was later presented at the Dutch Design Week and Red Dot Design Museum.

Social Soundmachine is an initiative by experience designer Ramon Schreuder (Lewis & Davis). The live soundtrack in this video features samples by artists Georgio Schultz, S2pid pros & wolflow.
