  • @xhmcsx actually it wasn't we (germans) call the kind of techno that was invented in detroit, "detroit techno" and techno used to be a description for fast 4|4 electronic music. Dubstep used to be something different as well and this is why genres don't tell anything...

  • I don't know how the techno vs electro debate began, but this is what I can say. According to the website Discogs (which is pretty much the Bible for music release information) this release is tagged as techno and electro. After hearing both songs, I personally say that both are electro in their foundation with techno influences in the beat and some synthesizer effects. If such a genre exists, I would call them tech-electro. Of course I'm hoping y'all know what techno is and its Detroit origins.
