My good friend Doug Koeppen was nice enough to bring his incredible Ibanez GWB 1005 to the Bass Hang for review. This is an excellent fretless with killer tone, easy playability, and great craftsmanship.
This video was shot with a Canon Vixia HFS20 and a Sennheiser MKE400 microphone. The bass was plugged directly into a QSC GX7 power amp and an ISI Bass-O-Matic cabinet.

  • How's the tension on the B-string? The B on my Ibanez SR755 is pretty floppy :(

  • @zakhey The low B is pretty darn good on this bass!!!

  • @tylerwylie They are a bit pricey new but you can sometimes find them used for a bit less. My take, it's hard to find a good fretless and I think Ibanez did a great job making a killer sounding and playing fretless that's available to anyone, even if the price is up there. Just my 2 cents.

  • only bad thing is you can't slap on this bass

  • only bad thing is you cant really salp on this bass

  • There is an internal volume trim pot on the preamp!

  • Yea, I'm getting a Clement fretted bass made at the moment, I want to get a fretless next. Both will cost less than this :)

  • Too expensive!
