This scene is so wonderfully melodramatic.
No dialogue, just the well-known "Temptation" in a wild latin beat. The handling of the gun (which will be significant later.) The painful ascent up the stairs by the doomed Mr. Hadley. Marylee undressing behind the frosted glass panel. The red accents in her otherwise monochromatic room - red telephone, red anthurium flowers, then her filmy red robe.
And another reason to hate this manipulative woman. But she gets her punishment in the end.
