Moodle an Open Source course management system (CMS) which originated in Australia is used worldwide by over 50,000 organizations.
During AP2009 we met the people responsible for Moodle's migration to Israel and its users. The first translation efforts were done by Lev and Dobix. However two years ago It transformed into a large and funded project when a Shenkar Collage Professor named Emanuel Gruengard joined by Lev decided to translate Moodle to Hebrew and also managed to guarantee ISOC-IL's funding for the project. Their work is now available in the projects main tree and can be used by other bidi languages.
Today Moodle can also be found in Israeli schools. Rivka Griner tells the story of how the schools in her district started using Moodle with the assistance of Nadav Kavalerchik.
