Yes any normal country would be proud, but any normal people wouldn't start calling themselves by their ancient civilization. you know what hurts, is that i knew that you are a shiite or sunni lebanese , and i know how traitors you can be for your country , you do everything to link it to iran or syria ,

i remember , once i saw lebanese basketball team palying agaisnt iran in Lebanon , and i was shocked how many shiite came from the south of lebaneon carrying hezbolllah flags and iranian flags and to support a foreign country agaisnt your own country

as i said earlier , elissar is one of phoenician queeens regardless if it`s greek or whatever , the important is that it exists only in lebanon and its gicven as a tribute to a very important phoenician queen , greek gave different names to phoenicians at that time , it`s them who chose the word pheonician to us for distinguishment

once again you do the same mistake , go back to hsitory , when muslims started conquering the middle east , they were mostly interested in syria and jordan ( because their nature being seduced by deserts ) and never had interest in lebanon especially for its SNOWY AND COLD mountains till ottomans later who discovered the geographic importance of the country

fakhreddine was the last emir in the middle east to continuing fighting til lthe end for around 300 years

any country in the world who has a rich and very old civilization is NORMALLY PROUD OF ITS HERITAGE  and patrimony , and being proud of my heritage that was one of the most importnat civilizations in history is not soemthing wrong at all , being proud of my patrimony doesn't make stucked in time back to 5000 years ago , lebanese are still the same like old phoenicians with all their traditons and their successful carreers around the world
