The mission of Teen Challenge of Monterey Bay is to provide a successful faith-based and practical solution to men and women with life-controlling issues. Teen Challenge of Monterey Bay endeavors to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, spiritually alive and employment ready.

@rac19722009 Not sure if the video gets into it or not but the reason we're called "Teen Challenge" was that the founder, David Wilkerson, initially was ministering to teens. The name was born and became fairly well know... then the ministry started to expand to adults as well.
There was a thought of changing the name but since they already had name recognition it didn't make sense to change the name at the time. David Wilkerson now has a ministry called World Challenge, ironically.
