An excellent display by Anthony Hodgson in his Spitfire T1.X at the East Fortune Airshow 2009. This aircraft PT462 was built at Castle Bromwich in 1944 as a single seat H.F Mk IX. It saw service with the Mediterranean Allied Air Force based in Italy before its withdrawal from service. It was restored to flying condition and converted to a two seater in the 1980's.

A full history of this spitfire can be found on the owners website at http://www.displayaircraft.co.uk/

  • Thanks for this - i was there at the air show , great day and great weather

  • Thanks for your comment. It was a great airshow, not long until the next one!

  • Great video, can we see it without the music please so that we can hear the Spit's engine.

  • Thanks. Unfortunately the music you can hear is what they were playing over the loudspeakers at the airshow so I can't get rid of it, but yes it did drown out the sound of the engines which was a real pity.
