"I've wondered for years, actually, why the chairmen of these companies don't just get in a Honda or a Toyota and drive it around the block. I think one drive around the block, they'd figure out that 'geez, this isn't bad, no wonder people buy these cars.' But their arrogance has prevented them from doing that. ... What I think is ironic and, again, hypocritical on the part of Congress is that they're holding back. He (Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid) can't get the votes to bail out the auto companies because that's going to help a lot of blue-collar people -- people that don't have a voice, who don't have lobbyists fighting for them on Capitol Hill -- but, boy, as soon as the banks or the financial institutions or the people that just gambled the money away, as soon as they were wanting some dough, boy the trough was just laid out for them. 'Line right up. Take whatever you want. Sure, no problem!' You know, everybody was there to vote for that, but when it came time, now, to help the people, the working class of this country, it's like 'oh I don't know about that.'" -- Michael Moore on Larry King Live, Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

  • we shouldve let them go under. if your business model sucks, taxpayers shouldn't be mandated to pay to fix it. So FUCK THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT!!!!!

  • Fuck cars in general. I live on the metro north line. Walk five minutes, get on the train, head to the city. Then take the train back home. I get a month-long pass, and save a shitload in gas prices and car repairs. Make a nation wide railroad!

  • Did he just say the people in Detroit are crap? :o

  • @ignorethefashion82

No you moron, pay them COMPETITIVELY, i.e. for what they PRODUCE.

    Idiot, you ARE a communist.

  • @PERFECTLITTLEDOLLS Your #1 is being done on purpose.snopes(dot) com/politics/quotes/hispanicleaders.asp

  • @whateverman181 "But you pay workers well with perks so they do a good job. This is not rocket science." AMEN!

I work for a company who, in recent years, has hired a new CEO who is "cutting spending". The company used to have the best workers in town, because it had the best perks & benefits. Now that they've lowered standards & benefits & started being "slave drivers" who don't appreciate their great workers, business is slipping & product isn't as good with the replacement workers who suck.

  • @MsbacktoNYC Is this nationwide railroad going to have tracks going to every farm stead across America? Is it going to swing through every mountain region? This idea might suit city dwellers just fine, but there are millions of people who don't live within minutes of the nearest city. Millions of people prefer a natural setting and lifestyle over concrete. We are one America & can't force a whole nation to accommodate our way of living.

  • God I wish this big fat arrogant piece of Commie pigshit would just shut the fuck up. Go have a fuckin heart attack, fatso.

  • Michael Moore is an uneducated moron. A big fat liar. A piece of liberal shit.
