What happens if a woman wants an educated Black man and can't find one? Because I know a lot of Black mean aren't in college right now. Should they move on to a White man or man of another race? Would that be settling for less?

Continued. The husband had a back issue, but still could have found some part-time work, he just didn't want to work. He sponged off of my friend for 2 and a half years. He ended up cheating on her and leaving her and moving back with his mother in his hometown. Now my friend has filed for divorced. The point is that she settled for less, meeting this guy at a bar and marrying him.

I have a friend whom I went to high school with and 3 years ago, she was engaged to be married and invited me to her wedding. I didn't meet this guy until the day of the wedding. Since she got married, she was acting a bit smug about it, like subtlely rubbing her marital status in my face. Well come to find out, the husband didn't work, they lived in her mother's house for the duration of the marriage.

based upon their beliefs. Now as for u - u are a very wise young lady! The only thing that I would add is that while u're keeping your standards high regarding a young man's education, work ethic, etc, be sure to include his moral values/actions. Make sure that the young man loves God, fears God, and is kind to people in thoughts, words, and deeds. And needless to say, if the young man has turned his back financially or otherwise on kids that he has brought into this world,

I think that women, and men for that matter, settle due to a lack of self esteem. Also, if a person knows that s/he has made a mistake, such as having kids out of wedlock, messed up their credit, gotten a criminal record, gotten an incurable venereal disease, let their weight get out of control, etc etc etc etc, they assume that they can't get anyone better. Of course they can get someone decent/good, but if they believe they cannot, then they will make decisions and take actions
