http://Gundog-Trainer.com - Force Fetching: Force fetching is the only road to a guaranteed retrieve. It doesn't matter what the breed may be, the force fetch is truly the only way to teach a dog what is expected during the retrieving process. In this 15 Minute Trainer Video entitled Force Fetching, Tom Waite, Professional Gundog Trainer walks you through the process of teaching you how to read your dog, how and where to administer pressure, what different reactions mean and how to work through the problems that may occur during this process. In this video, you have the opportunity to see several different dogs with different issues to help you better understand how to cope with and compare to your own personal dog. Force fetching is one of the most troublesome processes for most dog owners. A dog can learn in short order how to escape pressure and beat you at you own game. In this 15 Minute Trainer Video, Tom Waite talks you through these melt downs and shows examples of how to correct them. The force fetch done correctly can be the most gratifying process or the biggest train wreck if not approached correctly.

This is Part 1 of 2 of Video 4, of the Basic Gundog Training from The 15-Minute Trainer Series with Professional Gundog Trainer, Tom Waite. Tom Waite is a respected teacher, trainer and Gundog breeder. Tom is also an AKC licensed Judge as well as a judge for AFTCA field trials. Tom has conducted training seminars for many clubs in the United States and Europe, as well as at various fairs and industry shows. His dogs have been featured in many national and local magazines and newspapers including the Wisconsin Outdoor Journal, Gundog Magazine, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and Midwest Outdoors. Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Master's Degree in Wildlife and Biology. Visit Gundog-Trainer.com today. • Well I for think this was a good video. Keep up the good work guys!

  • @smittyslabs Thanks for the comment . It is nice to see that some people can appreciate the videos and work I put in . Hope it helps you . Thanks again..

  • You are out of your mind... This is so old fashioned ! Stop calling yourself a trainer.

  • @jesperstorm Would love to hear about your techniques and experience!

  • force fetch for a labrador?! And who was the stupid idiot that told you Americans to pinch the dogs ear?! I am from Germany I know about all bad thing that have been done to poor gundogs, but... man, ecollar and ear pinch for retrieving... I would like to come over and show you how to train a dog...

  • @drahthaarsteffi Would love to see it! I gave a 2 week training seminar in Europe, and was very surprised how prehistoric most of their techniques were. They hired me to teach force fetching and use of ecollars. The amount of positive feed back was overwhelming and I still receive letters, emails and phone calls thanking me for introducing them to new techniques. You do what work as I do! Good luck and thanks for the comment.

  • I believe training should be an enjoyable experience for both the trainer AND the dog. Force, pain, fear, and intimidation tactics should not be used. I'm not saying they don't work, but there are better methods. (Put a shock collar around you own neck and you would do what you were told too).

  • The whole idea of "force" fetching is totally wrong !!! Retrieving should be fun for your dog . I strongly disagree with any "punishment based" method of dog training. Look at your dog - she is not happy and scared. I sincerely sorry for anybody who's been taught by you ...

  • what a godshite

  • That dog is not a happy dog. :/

  • @transformersfreak80 Sorry you feel this way, but force fetch is an intricate part of training especially when striving to get the most out of you dog. And this dog isn't sad, that is just the way she always looks even when she is enjoying herself. Dogs are like people all different in look and in personality. In order to achieve goals we as people arent always having fun either. An update on the dog : She loves retrieving now and has done wonders hunting for her owners since her training

  • I highly dissaprove of whats he does in this video. I don't know what force fetching is but, I can already tell that its wrong. That dog looks really sad here.Or maybe the dog was sad before this, I don't know.
